Every business has a statutory obligation to produce accounts annually for the relevant authorities, typically HM Revenue & Customs and Companies House. This is a job that someone has to do and most accountants do that job.

Furthermore, for Accounting periods ending on or after 31 March 2010, businesses operated as a Limited Companies will be obliged to file their Accounts Online in a special machine readable code, i-XBRL (inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language), which requires either accepting the accounts layout provided as part of your accounts software package, or "tagging" your preferred layout in a WORD or EXCEL document. The preparation of tagged accounts is a service we can provide for you.
